Nokia Dropped Now Known as Microsoft Lumia
Nokia was once on the top of the mobile phone world now the Nokia brand will be meeting its end. Microsoft is now officially ending the Nokia brand they will be replacing it with their own Lumia range of Windows smartphones.
Microsoft purchased Nokia’s mobile devices division back in April for $7.2 billion along with a 10-year deal to use the Finnish company’s name on smartphones.
The Nokia name will completely disappear since the original Finnish company still exists as Nokia Networks, which focuses on networking, mapping and telecommunications infrastructure. Nonetheless, the end of Nokia as a cell phone brand marks the end of an era.

Lenovo SmartBand Revealed By FCC
The Lenovo SmartBand has been revealed by a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) listing. Lenovo will be joining the trend of wearable device, with the Lenovo SmartBand. The Lenovo SmartBand is a fitness tracker that can be connected and sync to your smartphones through Bluetooth. The device can work on different Operating System like iOS, Android, and Windows 8 devices. The device has a display where it shows your fitness statistics, time, and reminders. It is also equipped with an optical heart-rate monitor that is located on the rear of the device.
It also has a training mode, which can be used to track and monitor your run. The Lenovo SmartBand will display the distance run, duration of the run, and calories burned during the run.
The device will also vibrate if the user have an incoming calls and messages. It will show the name and number of the person calling or texting.
Based on the FCC filing, the battery of the device can last 7 days on a full charge. It is also IP67 grade for dust and water resistance.

AT&T Increases data plan in special limited-time promotion
AT&T is offering a limited-time special promotion that will increase your data plan 2x. The special promo have started Sunday September 28, 2014 and it will end on October 31, 2014. If you have monthly Mobile Share Value plans from 15GB to 50GB they will be increased 2x. So, subscribers will enjoy more data monthly with no additional cost.
The new promotion is a welcome news for heavy users and those with family plans. The promo is open to new and existing AT&T subscribers. Another good news is these promo do not expire so even if the promo plan will end on October 31 the size of your data plan per month will remain doubled until you cancel your service or switch to a new plan.

Apple iPhone 6 Set New Record with 4 million orders 1st day
Apple has established a new pre-order records for their latest iPhone, selling more than 4 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones in its first day (first 24 hours). Apple said the delivery of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will start Friday and throughout September, but some may take up to October to be delivered.
The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will still be available Friday on a walk-in basis at Apple retail stores and from various wireless carriers and authorized Apple resellers.

iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, Apple Watch, and Apple Pay
Apple revealed their new products on Tuesday September 9, 2014 they are the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, the Apple Watch, and Apple Pay. Apple Watch looks really promising the design is futuristic and elegant. iPhones has bigger screens, but not as big as its Android counterpart.
Apple also presented Apple Pay, a payment system you can use through your smartphone to make credit card payments at shops, stores, and restaurants. Major credit card companies American Express, MasterCard, and Visa are included in Apple Pay. It will also be accepted by more than 220,000 merchants at launch. You will only need to tap your iPhone at a payment terminal.

Apple iPhone 6 invites
Apple has not sent their invitations for their expected unveiling of their Phone 6. The invite was cryptic and it doesn't say that they will be announcing the iPhone 6. It just state the date 9.9.2014 and a short text, "Wish we could say more."
Though it didn't mention about iPhone 6, online community are well aware that the event will be held for the unveiling of their next-generation iPhone. They are also expected to introduce wearables gadgets which is probably called the Apple iWatch. Apple iWatch will be competing with Samsung Gear S and LG G Watch R. The iWatch is rumored to come in two version, one with 1.3 inches display and the other have 1.5 inches.

Microsoft promises Internet Explorer 12
Microsoft Internet Explorer was once the preferred web browser by online users, however Chrome and Firefox cuts significant amount of the market share. Now Microsoft is planning to revive and give life to the once formidable browser through Microsoft Internet Explorer 12.
The software giant has seen its once-dominant web browser lose market share to Chrome and Firefox and is now mounting a comeback.
Microsoft Internet Explorer team revealed through Reddit their plan to introduce a new version of their browser which is IE12 and they are also leaning to drop the Internet Explorer and use another name.
Internet Explorer's market share used to be 89% in 2005. As of July 2014 browser Market Share are as follows: Chrome 38.5%, Internet Explorer 21.2%, Safari 15.4%, Firefox 15.2%, and Opera 3.1%.
