Facebook aims at Twitter's hashtags
In a blog post Facebook said Wednesday that users will now be able to click a hashtag to see a feed of discussions about a specific topic. If you see a number sign in front of the word "Britney", that word will turn into a clickable link that leads to posts topics about "Britney."
Hashtags are used by Twitter and Instagram to identify topics being discussed and allow users to search for them.
Facebook said it will make the clickable hashtags available to users beginning on Wednesday.

Facebook using hashtags is like fish out of water. Its not their domain since the people there don't use it that much. To those using it are most likely Twitter people who use Facebook as a means to playing apps.
ReplyDeleteThe way social media is being used today is quite amazing really. For some businesses, they don't even need any social media services whatsoever.
