Nokia was once on the top of the mobile phone world now the Nokia brand will be meeting its end. Microsoft is now officially ending the Nokia brand they will be replacing it with their own Lumia range of Windows smartphones.

Microsoft purchased Nokia’s mobile devices division back in April for $7.2 billion along with a 10-year deal to use the Finnish company’s name on smartphones.

The Nokia name will completely disappear since the original Finnish company still exists as Nokia Networks, which focuses on networking, mapping and telecommunications infrastructure. Nonetheless, the end of Nokia as a cell phone brand marks the end of an era.

The Lenovo SmartBand has been revealed by a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) listing. Lenovo will be joining the trend of wearable device, with the Lenovo SmartBand. The Lenovo SmartBand is a  fitness tracker that can be connected and sync to your smartphones through Bluetooth. The device can work on different Operating System like iOS, Android, and Windows 8 devices. The device has a display where it shows your fitness statistics, time, and reminders. It is also equipped with an optical heart-rate monitor that is located on the rear of the device.

It also has a training mode, which can be used to track and monitor your run. The Lenovo SmartBand will display the distance run, duration of the run, and calories burned during the run.

The device will also vibrate if the user have an incoming calls and messages. It will show the name and number of the person calling or texting.

Based on the FCC filing, the battery of the device can last 7 days on a full charge. It is also IP67 grade for dust and water resistance.
