Huawei unveiled the Ascend P6 on last Tuesday, boasting that it is the world's thinnest smartphone due to its 6.18mm frame. It may be thin but it also power packed with a quad-core 1.5GHz processor, a 4.7in HD touchscreen and Google's Android 4.2.2 mobile operating system. Huawei's refreshed Emotion user interface is also onboard.
Other specifications include an 8MP rear camera with HD 1080p video, a 5MP front-facing camera, 8GB of internal storage, a microSD slot and 3G and WiFi connectivity. The Ascend P6 doesn't come with support for 4G, but Huawei CEO Richard Yu said that an updated model with LTE will be released later in the year.
Financial Times also reported yesterday that Huawei would consider buying Finnish phone maker Nokia.
