ZTE Axon 7 Pre-Order $399

ZTE, a China based multinational telecommunications equipment and systems company announced last May the new ZTE Axon 7 and it was initially launched in China. Now, it will become available internationally. It is now available for pre-order in the US with a starting price of $399. This is a really affordable flagship smartphone.

For that affordable price you'll get, an all-metal design smartphone with a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display, Snapdragon 820 processor, 20MP f/1.8 rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), 8MP f/2.2 front camera, 3250mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0, USB Type-C port, dual speaker setup with a dual Hi-Fi chipset (Dolby Atmos surround sound), and a fingerprint reader.

They have released two models but in the US the ZTE Axon 7 will have 4GB RAM and 64GB storage with a microSD slot version. t measures 151.8 x 75 x 8.7 mm, weighs in at 185 grams.

The phone will work on GSM networks like AT&T and T-Mobile. Shipping will start on July 27.

Google’s upcoming Nexus devices will be more powerful according to leaks. Google’s next Nexus devices that will be manufactured by HTC would each deliver the same set of high-end specs, the first benchmarks for one of the models has been seen online, suggesting that both smartphones will offer some serious performance when they launch later this year.

Phone Arena posted the benchmark of the Nexus M1, or better known as "HTC Marlin." The "google marlin" smartphone test on Geekbench, gave a single score of 2084 and a multi-core result of 4969. For comparison, iPhone 6S had a score of 4417. 

It shows here that the Nexus M1 Marlin will run on the just announced Android Nougat 7.0.1. It will also come with a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a 1440 x 2560 resolution. Under the hood, the Nexus M1 will be powered by the Snapdragon 820 SoC with a quad-core CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU.

According to sources it will have 12-megapixel rear camera and a 8-megapixel selfie front camera. It will also have a fingerprint scanner at the back of the device. It is said to be equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB/128 GB of memory. There will be 2 speaker grilles at the bottom of the device.

If you are currently in the market looking for a new midrange Android smartphone for you to buy, you may want to consider OnePlus' new flasghip device called OnePlus 3. After OnePlus 2’s unimpressive debut and the not so good response to their OnePlus X, they are now banking on their new flagship. The OnePlus 3 has a 16-megapixel main camera with LED flash and OIS support. It also has an 8-megapixel selfie shooter.

ZTE a Chinese multinational telecommunications equipment company, has unveiled the Axon 7, the successor to last year's Axon flagship. ZTE Axon 7, just like its predecessor offers high-end specs and materials at a fraction of the cost.

The smartphone boast Qualcomm's highest-end processor the Snapdragon 820. You can choose between 4 or 6GB of RAM. It is equipped with a quad HD AMOLED display, a metal chassis, quick charging, and a new dual-speaker system with Dolby surround sound.

Usually, smartphone with similar specs runs for around $700 and upwards, however ZTE promises that the new smartphone will cost under $500 when it arrives in the US in the coming weeks.

The Axon 7 improves its design and display. It is designed by a BMW's DesignWorks firm, it now have a full metal unibody with rounded corners and edges, that's nice to hold. It comes in two colors gold and grey.

The display is a significant improvement from the previous flagship phone, it is now equipped with a 5.5-inch AMOLED panel with the aforementioned 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution and curved edges. It's protected by a Gorilla Glass 4. The colors are rich and vibrant and the contrast levels is outstanding.

It will come in two variants the Axon 7 64GB model with 4GB of RAM and the 128GB version with 6GB. ZTE said that they are not yet committed in offering the 128GB version in the US. Both versions have microSD slots for expansion.

Both variants are powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 2.2GHz and have 3,250mAh batteries with Qualcomm's QuickCharge 3.0. The company said that the quickcharge system gives you 50% charge level in just 30 minutes of charging or a full charge in 100 minutes.

Camera wise, the Axon 7 boast a 20-megapixel main camera with OIS (optical image stabilization), f/1.8 lens aperture, and 4K (30fps) video capability. The phone's front selfie-camera has 8 megapixels of resolution. A USB Type-C port is used for data transfer and charging.

The sound system has a dual-speaker setup with both on the front of the phone. It provides stereo sound and can copy surround sound environments. It was really impressive.

The Axon 7 will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and ZTE says it will be upgraded to Android N when that is made available later this year.

The 64GB model with 4GB of RAM will cost about $450, while the 128GB version with 6GB is a bit pricier at $640.

The ZTE Axon 7 will work with AT&T, T-Mobile, and related MVNOs when it launches, though ZTE says it will also work with CDMA carriers such as Sprint and Verizon once it receives technical approval from them. Once it hit the market it’ll be available through ZTE’s online store, Amazon, Best Buy, B&H, eBay and Newegg, and will be sold with a free 2-year warranty.

Shenzhen-based Huawei tech company released a flagship smartphone that can match the top devices out in th market today. It even has dual rear camera that's very creative. The Huawei P9 smartphone has dual 12-megapixel rear cameras that were developed by Huawei and Leica offering more light and better clarity, that produces amazing photos and videos.

The device is encased in a sandblasted aluminum with curved glass around the front. It sports a 5.2-inch IPS-NEO LCD with Full HD resolution. It is powered by 2.5 GHz octacore HiSilicon Kirin 955 SoC. It comes in two model one with 32GB of memory storage with 3GB of RAM, while othe one is the 4GB model with 64GB. The 3000mAh battery is solid.

Huawei P9 runs on Android OS 6.0 (Marshmallow) and Emotion UI 4.1.

The two rear Leica cameras are very unique and interesting they both feature identical 12-megapixel Sony sensors, with one monochromatic and the other in color. It has hybrid autofocus, which includes laser autofocus too, while the software offers three predefined color capture modes in collaboration with Leica. These include Standard, Vivid Colors and Smooth Colors.
